The Family

Welcome back. I was hoping to be done with this site for a while but I’m back and so is my cancer. Lex is now 3 1/2 and Olive is 20 months and I once again have a new job. I’m beginning to think maybe I shouldn’t switch companies but I really like this new one.

For those of you who are new to our page the original content is below…

Welcome to The Selimis Family Page….a place to check in and see what is going on in our world. We will try to keep this updated as much as possible but feel free to ping us if we are slacking. ¬†ūüôā

The kids are keeping us busy as Lex is 2 1/2 and Olive is 8 months and they want to get into, I mean learn about everything. ¬†Nick is still working at Booz Allen and Tori started a new job a few months ago and is loving the work. ¬†We are absolutely loving ¬†our house in Woodbine, we lucked out with a¬†fantastic¬†area to raise the kids. ¬†Unfortunately at the end of May, Tori was¬†diagnosed¬†with stage 3 breast cancer but we know she is going to kick cancer’s butt and then some. ¬†We have a long road of ahead of us over the next year but we are through the first step which was surgery. ¬†Next is chemo and then radiation followed by another surgery. ¬†Please be sure to send positive vibes our way, we can use them!

Tori, I have known you for many years and have observed first hand what a positive and strong person your are and am confident that if anyone can beat cancer it is you. My niece when through it and after treatment and a positive attitude she has been cancer free for several years now. Barb and I will be thinking of you and keep you in our prayers. Corky!

Nick and family, I’m so sorry to learn of Tori’s passing. In the brief time that I worked with her, she was (and I wrote this on her going-away card) a real inspiration. She was never anything but kind and helpful to me, and I can only imagine how much you miss her.

    Nick,

My deepest sympathy I will always remember Tori as being a true professional and a kind and caring person. She was a great help to me during the time she supported me and the UCDMO.

    Nick and family,

My sincerest condolences for the loss of Tori. She has been great leader and boss to work for. She has helped me in the progress of my career. It is sad to learn of her passing when I know she was receiving an immense amount of blessings from her large network of colleagues, family, and friends. I believe that she will be looking down and still providing protection and support to her family from above. Again, my condolences for your loss.
